Bilingüismo en adultos por Ellen Bialystok

Resumen

El bilingüismo he sido asociado a variaciones cognitivas y neurofisiológicas en diversos rangos de edad, siendo, debido a su característica social, un factor que no podría emerger exclusivamente de individuos con especial capacidad cognitiva. La Dra. Ellen Bialystok, coordinadora de Lifespan, Cognition and Development Laboratory (Universidad de York, Canadá), es una de las principales investigadoras no que se refiere el bilingüismo. Su contribución fué elegida, divido a su importancia para esta área de pesquisa, como foco de este estudio. Así, fueran revisados todos los artículos publicados en periódicos por el laboratório sobrecitado entre 2012-2018 que tenían coleta de dados en amostras de adultos y que compararan bilingües y monolingües. Fueran encontradas 21 publicaciones, considerando aspectos cognitivos, lingüísticos y neurofisiológicos. Los estudios con EEG demostraron diferencias diversas, incluso padrones atencionales más difusos y más facilidad para tareas ejecutivas. Cuanto a las funciones ejecutivas, resultados mistos fueran encontrados en tareas comportamientales.
